Sept. 23: Boise State Symphony Orchestra Concert

7:30 p.m. Morrison Center Recital Hall. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors. Children, non-Boise State students of any age (with ID), and Boise State faculty, staff and students with ID are admitted free. All concert proceeds fund Boise State Music Scholarships. Convenient parking for non-Boise State parking permit holders attending events in the Morrison Center Main Hall is available just south of the Morrison Center. Sept. 23: Boise State Symphony Orchestra Fall Concert

7:30 p.m. Morrison Center, main hall. The Boise State University Symphony Orchestra opens its exciting season with “Musical Heavyweights." This concert features music by two “heavyweight" composers, both with the same initials, LB; Leonard Bernstein and Ludwig van Beethoven. Maestro Purdy leads the university orchestra in Bernstein’s Overture to “Candide” and Beethoven’s most often played symphony, the magnificent Symphony #5 in C Minor, Op. 67. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of composer Leonard Bernstein. Come celebrate with Maestro Purdy and the Boise State Symphony Orchestra!
