Support the Campus Food Pantry, Receive Free Entry to Western Idaho Fair 

The Boise State Campus Food Pantry is thrilled to announce they will be the recipient of the 2025 KBOI-2 News and Western Idaho Fair opening day food drive. From 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Friday, August 15, anyone who brings a food donation to the Western Idaho Fair will receive free entry. 

Join us at the fair and help stock the Campus Food Pantry before the semester begins. Simply bring a food donation between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. on August 15.

We are also seeking volunteers from 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. to help greet fair patrons, collect food donations, answer questions about the Campus Food Pantry, and help load or unload donations. Two-hour volunteer shifts are available both at the Western Idaho Fairgrounds and at Boise State.

The Campus Food Pantry is a choice style pantry, providing free food and hygiene products to students. The Pantry served over 18,000 visits this Spring 2025 semester alone! Our program relies heavily on community donations and the support of volunteers. This opportunity at the Western Idaho Fair will be instrumental in helping stock our pantry right before school starts. 

If you can’t make it to the fair, you can still donate to the Campus Food Pantry through Boise State Giving.
