About Boise State’s BFA Program and the Blue Galleries
Boise State’s Department of Art, Design and Visual Studies offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare students for careers as professional artists and creative thinkers. Focusing on both traditional and contemporary practices, the program emphasizes critical thinking, innovation, and technical mastery across various artistic disciplines.

The Blue Galleries are an accessible artistic hub on the first floor of the Center for the Visual Arts that hosts contemporary visual art exhibitions and related programming to engage diverse audiences. They also include 2,500 square feet of exhibition space in three connected galleries.  Contact Kirsten Furlong, the Blue Galleries director, at kfurlong@boisestate.edu.
