As of 7/23/26 the Claremont fire closures have been lifted and our site is re-opened. The fire has an estimated containment date of 8/1/26. 

Intermountain Bird Observatory will begin our fall migration songbird banding at Lucky Peak on July 16th. Weather allowing, we will band daily from sunrise and continuing for 5 hours. Visitors can meet our team of biologists, watch us conduct our research, and help us release the birds back into the wild after we've finished banding and measuring them.

Drop-in visitors are welcome any time, and large groups may schedule field trips on our website.
