Preparing to Teach in the Age of Artificial Intelligence- seminar
About this Event
Over a week, this asynchronous seminar delves into the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and explores its impact on teaching and learning in higher education. As an asynchronous seminar, there are no live sessions however, there are due dates throughout the week. The goals of this seminar are to familiarize faculty with what AI is, the current capabilities of AI technology, commonly used AI terms, apps, and tools, as well as opportunities and challenges AI poses for faculty and students, and AI usage guidelines for both faculty and students.
In addition to exploring these topics, participants will draft an AI Action and Communication Plan in which they outline how they and their students can and cannot use AI in each of the courses they teach and how they will communicate this to them.
This seminar qualifies for 2-elective units towards eCampus Online Course Design and Online Teaching Certificates.
