https://www.boisestate.edu/coen/spacex-launch-view-party/Join us for an out-of-this-world viewing party as SpaceX launches Mission V.I.B.E.S to the International Space Station! Watch as cutting-edge research from Boise State University blasts off aboard SpX-34, carrying a groundbreaking experiment that could revolutionize how we understand aging and bone health. Led by Dr. Gunes Uzer and a diverse team of researchers, graduate students, and undergrads, this $1.2M NSF-funded project is sending 3D bone marrow models to space to test whether vibrations can combat the rapid aging effects of microgravity. Using Space Tango's automated bioreactor system, the experiment will run for 21 days aboard the ISS, potentially unlocking secrets that could help both astronauts on long missions and aging populations here on Earth. Come witness history as Boise State research literally reaches for the stars – complete with snacks and the chance to see your university's work contribute to humanity's future in space!
