TEACHING AND LEARNING SPOTLIGHT–Please bring your lunch and join us for this event!
Just-in-Time Teaching (JiTT) is a pedagogical strategy that asks students to work at home before class. This is followed by classroom activities that are modified based on the information the instructor gets about the pre-class work. The approach aims to increase learning during classroom time, enhance student motivation, encourage students to prepare for class, and allow the instructor to fine-tune the classroom activities to best meet students’ needs. Come hear Prof Paul Simmonds (Physics) talk about how he’s used this approach in this Teaching and Learning Spotlight. Lunch is brown bag, but we’ll have treats!
