Jan. 17: The Fettucine Forum, Media Literacy: Fake News, Politics and Power

6 p.m. Boise City Hall Council Chambers.

Seth Ashley, associate professor of journalism and media studies in the Department of Communication, facilitates a panel discussion on fake news, honing media literacy, and learning to analyze news from a variety of sources. Other panelists include¬†Melissa Davlin, host of Idaho Public Television’s Idaho Reports; Julie B. Lane, assistant professor in the Department of Communication; Jeffrey Lyons, researcher on American politics; Bill Manny, a local news editor at the Idaho Statesman; and Jessica Roberts, an assistant professor of journalism and media studies in the Department of Communication.

The event is free and open to the public and doors open at 5:30 p.m.
