All day. Online. This is an online workshop available from 2/13/2017 thru 2/19/2017. Initial synchronous live meeting in Google Hangout on Feb. 13th at 3pm. Wrap up synchronous live meeting in Blackboard Collaborate on Feb. 16th at 3 p.m.

In this online workshop, learners will explore various ways that video can be used to improve social presence and student learning in online and blended courses. For instance, learners will be introduced to video announcements, video feedback, and video screencasts / lectures, and live meetings. The workshop will start off with a live synchronous web meeting in Google Hangout. The learners will then spend time learning about different uses of video over the week in Blackboard in an asynchronous format (i.e., working at time that is convenient for them). After learning about different uses of video, learner’s will create and/or integrate a new use of video into one of his/her own blended or online courses.

The workshop will end with a live synchronous wrap up meeting in Google Hangouts. Learner’s should expect to spend 1.5 – 2 hours on this workshop.
