This 90-minute webinar is an opportunity for new students and their parents to learn about sexual assault and sexual harassment prevention techniques and to prepare for common uncomfortable and/or unsafe situations. 

Students will learn about:

• The Red Zone
• Resistance and Assessment - recognizing and learning how to overcome social and emotional barriers to resistance to uncomfortable pressure.
• Setting and Maintaining Boundaries
• Navigating Consent 
• Active Bystander Intervention
• Recognizing Stalking and Relationship Escalation
• Safety and Support Resources at Boise State

Parents will learn:

• How to talk about sexual assault prevention with their student
• How to help their student think about their own personal boundaries and comfort levels with new acquaintances
• How to help their student practice setting and maintaining boundaries despite social or emotional pressure 
• How to encourage verbal assertiveness around consent, boundaries, and bystander intervention
• What safety resources are available on campus
