This event brings together students, journalists, and media scholars to explore the role of media literacy, dialogue, and civic engagement in strengthening democracy. Join us for an open discussion about how we consume, share, and make sense of information—and what it will take to bridge divides and reclaim a shared reality.

About the IMI: Recognizing the vital connections between media and democracy, the Idaho Media Initiative (IMI) works to promote media literacy and civic engagement through education and outreach. Co-founded in 2013 by Seth Ashley and Carissa Wolf at Boise State University, the IMI serves as a community resource for media education and professional training in order to help facilitate informed democratic self-governance. IMI educators and researchers aim to support the production and consumption of responsible public affairs journalism and other media content that helps meet the information needs of our communities.
