The Institute for Advancing American Values lunches Bronco Convos this Fall 25 semester. Join us to discuss hot button political topics in a neutral space. The eight events will feature facilitated conversations, trainings from mediators, and a brave space to explore, discuss, and hear different viewpoints on a range of important issues. These conversations are open to all Boise State students, staff, and faculty. 

For the October 9, 2025 Bronco Convo, we will be discussing the issue of immigration. The Trump Administration made numerous changes to the Biden Administration’s policy on immigration, from utilized expedited removal to suspending the acceptance of refugees. This Bronco Convo will focus on arguments for and against these policies, and explore the underlying arguments for and against these changes. The following readings offer some context and differing views on the topic, and attendees are encouraged to read them ahead of time. They are not exclusive nor do they represent every perspective or issue area within the immigration topic.
