Boise State logo

9 a.m. ILC, room 315. In this interactive workshop, participants will learn how to lay the foundation for difficult conversations in the classroom, particularly those related to diversity. The workshop will offer activities and address strategies for building trust and rapport amongst students, encouraging openness to dialogue, recognizing triggers, reflecting on identity, bias and privilege, and establishing group agreements. Part 2 will focus on strategies for facilitating dialogues about diversity when confronted with resistance and hot moments. Participants can come to either or both of these workshops. This session counts toward the BUILD Certificate Program. Facilitated by Tasha Souza.
