The ability to communicate research, often large and highly technical projects, is an invaluable skill for today’s graduate student. The Three Minute Thesis competition requires that students communicate their work in a three-minute presentation, which seems like an impossible task. Communicating Your Scholarship, presented by Lavanya Seetamraju from IFITS, teaches students how to share their work with audiences outside their fields. Students will learn how to identify and communicate key aspects of their work, eliminate the use of jargon and other highly technical language and hone their focus on the importance of their work to the community at large.
